Take a cinnamon stick, ginger, clove and cardamom to boiling water. Then add a tablespoon of honey in it and sprinkle black pepper on. You can consume it as a tea and gargle with it as well after straining the liquid out.

  • Honey with lemon and turmeric

Turmeric is a natural antibiotic that kills bacteria and relieves pain while lemon is an astringent that shrinks inflamed tissue. Combine turmeric powder with honey and form a paste. Several this mixture several times a day to soothe a sore throat.

Another way to use honey is to combine it with lemon and ginger. the citric acid of the lemon helps to heal a sore throat. You would need a warm cup of water. Add some drops of lemon juice and small chunks of sliced ginger in it. Mix it well and add a tablespoon of honey to it. Add salt as per your taste. Let it steep for a few minutes and the mixture is ready. Use it twice a day for best results.

When you use garlic in combination with honey in a sore throat, it reduces the inflammation, kills the bacteria and soothes the throat.

To use honey and garlic for a sore throat, take 2-3 cloves of garlic and mince them well into 1/2 cup raw honey. Cover it and leave it for the whole night. Use only 1 teaspoon of this mixture added to one glass of warm water. Stir it and drink it.

Repeat using it thrice a day until you experience a betterment of a sore throat. Alternatively, you can crush and mice 10-20 garlic cloves and add 1/3 cup raw honey to it. Use only 1 tablespoon of it directly before going to the bed. Do not use it if you can’t stand with the taste of garlic.

Black peppers are rich in beneficial health ingredients which help to get rid of a sore throat too. In combination with honey, black pepper powder is one of the best home based remedies for a sore throat.

To make this paste, take 5-6 black peppers, roast them and crush into a fine powder. Add only a pinch of this powder to half tablespoon honey. Use it directly with water in morning and evening. It will heal your sore throat in a few days only.

  • Honey and orange juice

To use this combination, take a glass of orange juice and slightly warm it. Add one tablespoon honey to it and mix well. Sip it till the end and let it work for you. To make this combination, heat one cup of milk and add a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one tablespoon honey in it. You can also use powdered ginger for the additional benefits but that is optional. Consume this mixture daily before you sleep until you feel a difference in your sore throat infection.

  • Honey in cayenne pepper tea

Cayenne pepper is one of the natural analgesic agents which is used in herbal tea for daily use. In a sore throat, if the infection is not leaving you and is causing an extreme pain in your throat, you should try cayenne pepper tea with honey in it.

Or you can mix one drop of cayenne pepper oil in one teaspoon of raw honey and swallow it when there is an extreme pain in the throat. Everyone can use honey and the remedies that include honey except for the underage children. You should never give honey to children under one year of age.
