6 Ways to Boost Women’s Fertility

Women’s fertility is its ability to conceive a child biologically. There are many ways to improve the fertility of women. Some of such ways are the following:

1- Stress Management

Stress can enhance the chances of infertility by inducing the production of hormones like prolactin and cortisol. These hormones reduce ovulation and induce infertility. Therefore, stress should be managed by focusing on the positivity of life.

2- Exercise

Exercises including walking and yoga help in the improvement of blood circulation throughout the body. It also increases blood flow to ovaries and uterus. In this way, exercises boost fertility.

However, Improper blood flow can be caused by dehydration which thickens the blood and prevents the flow of oxygenated blood to the reproductive system. It can affect ovulation and fertility of a woman.

3- Fertility Massage

Fertility massages can improve fertility by increasing blood flow to uterus and ovaries. During these massages, the abdomen is massaged which increases the supply of oxygenated blood to reproductive organs. Fertility massages can be performed throughout the month, expect menstruation. To get an effective result, four massages per week can be performed.

4- Hydration

Hydration is important to maintain healthy blood flow throughout the body. Dehydration can cause thickening of the blood which is unable to supply oxygen to all body cells. Lack of oxygen can cause cell death. Therefore, at least eight glass of water must be used daily to improve blood circulation to the reproductive system. Avoid drinking water from plastic bottles because it can have a negative impact on the ovulation.

5- Multivitamin Supplements

Multivitamin supplements should be used to boost fertility. Multivitamins supplements contain all kind of vitamins and folic acid required for the proper functioning of the reproductive system. Suitable multivitamins can be used after the recommendations from the doctor. Coenzyme Q10 supplement improves health as it is an antioxidant.

6- Nutrition

Diet plays a major role in inducing fertility. The folic acid-rich diet improves the health of reproductive organs.

Following diets are considered capable of boosting the fertility of women:

whole Milk

Milk contains a high amount of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.  These components are important for the healthy functioning of the reproductive system. therefore, it should be used to improve ovulation and fertility. It can also be used in other forms like yogurt or desserts.

Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds contain a high amount of zinc and monosaturated fats. Zinc promotes the production of hormones required for egg health and production. These seeds can be used along with other nuts to improve infertility. Hummus, containing sesame seed paste can be added to the diet.


Cinnamon stimulates insulin resistance. Its use can improve the function of the reproductive organs. The women diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome are advised to use cinnamon. A quarter teaspoon of cinnamon can be used daily to improve reproductive health.

Following seafood are known to improve the fertility of women:

  • Salmon

Salmon is full of Omega-3 Fatty Acids which are proven to regulate blood flow to the reproductive organs.

  • Oysters

Oysters contain a high amount of Zinc. It boosts the production of dopamine which increases the libido of women.  It also increases the production of good-quality eggs.

  • Avocados

Avocados contain the high content of monosaturated fats. These fats help in the improvement of reproductive health. It also improves ovulation and egg quality. Therefore, avocadoes should be consumed to get good reproductive health.

  • Berries

Antioxidants play an important role in the functioning of the body. Berries are rich sources of antioxidants that protect eggs from free radicals. It helps in the prevention of eggs damage and aging. The use of strawberries can improve women’s libido along with with-it fertility. Berries should be added to the diet. At least three portions of berries per week are recommended to get better results.

  • Figs

Since the time of the Ancient Greeks, figs are considered to increase fertility. Figs contain a high amount of iron which promotes ovulation and the production of healthy eggs.

  • Dry fruits

Proteins also play an important role in the functioning of the reproductive system. Dried fruits contain a high amount of proteins and minerals. Therefore, dry fruits must be added to the diet. Brazil nuts can also be used. These nuts contain a high amount of selenium. Selenium is an antioxidant which reduces the risk of chromosomal damage in eggs. In this way, nuts and dry fruits can improve egg production.


  • Lentils and Beans

The proper functioning of the body requires many kinds of vitamins and minerals. lentils and Beans are rich sources of vitamins, minerals, and iron. Iron and minerals are important for the proper functioning of ovaries. Lack of iron can lead to a lack of egg production. Therefore, these should be added to an everyday diet.

  • Green leafy vegetables

The green leafy vegetables are a high source of antioxidants, folic acid, manganese, iron, calcium, and Vitamin A. These minerals, and antioxidants can improve the activity of the reproductive system. Therefore, Green vegetables should be added to an everyday diet.  These can be used in the form of salad or curries.

  • Yams

Studies show that yams contain antioxidants like vitamins A and C which prevents from free radical damage of eggs. It boosts fertility and promotes healthy ovulation. Yam contains fiber which helps in the regulation of blood sugar level of women suffering from polycystic syndrome disease.

  • Ginger

Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties. Its use can improve blood circulation to the reproductive system. It can also reduce inflammation of the reproductive organs. Therefore, ginger must add to the diet. It can be used in the form of ginger-infused tea or can also be added to the salad.

  • Seaweed

Seaweed improves fertility as it contains essential nutrients. These nutrients enhance the functioning of the liver, kidneys, and bladder.

What to avoid?

  • Soy

Soy can affect fertility. Soy contains a compound which is like estrogen. The high levels of estrogen can have a bad impact on fertility.

  • Saturated Fats

The use of saturated fats can increase estrogen levels which can cause infertility. Therefore, its use should be managed

  • Refined Sugars

The use of refined sugars can cause blood sugar spikes. It can have negative effects on the reproductive system. It also lowers fertility.

  • Cigarettes, Caffeine, and Alcohol

Cigarettes can reduce fertility. The chemicals present in cigarettes can mutate the DNA of the egg. It lowers the chances of conception. The use of alcohol lowers the sex drive. It also affects the menstrual cycle and the quality of the egg.

  • Underweight or Highweight

Being underweight or high weight can affect the normal menstrual cycles. Therefore, one should try to manage weight within the normal range of body-mass index (BMI).
