There is a big number of essential oils. Most of us have probably used them for any other things. People commonly add a few drops of lavender oil in their baths to get that beautiful scent of lavender all day long.

This recipe gives a sweet and subtle scent. It may also make your skin better as these oils are good for beautification purposes!

DIY Homemade Perfume

  • 12-24 drops of Cedarwood or ylang-ylang essential oil
  • 25-30 drops of rosemary, lavender, chamomile, or rose essential oil
  • 1tsp of vanilla extract (preferably homemade)
  • 4 ounces of alcohol
  • 12-13 drops of bergamot or neroli essential oil

Combine all essential oils in a bottle of your choice and let it sit for a few days. After 3-4 days, add alcohol to the bottle and shake well.

It takes time for the oils and alcohol to merge and produce a combined scent. The ideal time is 30-35 days. This also gives time for alcohol smell to go away and the scent of the oils to get stronger and take over. Use like normal perfumes after the time has passed.

You may even use other essential oils of your choice other than the ones mentioned. Make sure to do your research on base, middle, and top oils though beforehand.
